Helios Blue City Cinema
Helios, the biggest cinema chain in Poland, has asked us to design their first location in Warsaw, at the Blue City shopping mall. It had to be a spectacular theatre, so we have chosen New York City, a world known scenography for hundreds of movies as a theme. The cinema foyer became Times Square. Screens portals remind Broadway theatre entrances. Side corridors are covered with original graffiti as in remote NYC areas. We have especially travelled to NYC to search for original elements to decorate the interiors and have brought over 100 elements from signage, neon lights to original aluminium trashcans and traffic lights to give a real NYC flavour. The cinema is also a nostalgic tribute to old, non-existing Warsaw cinemas, so each screen is named after the classical cinema from back in a day. Adding three super comfortable Helios Dream screens as a VIP concept, Extract has developed and designed in details, this location became a favourite for many movie goers in Warsaw, and an Instagram place to check-in.
